Dyslexia could be much more than you think – it is even a gift!

You might be surprised! Many positive symptoms are the result of a dyslexic thinking style in addition to negative symptoms. Dyslexia is often misunderstood. At Ohio Dyslexia Correction Center, we do not believe that dyslexia is the result of abnormal brain function or physical problems with the
ears or eyes. Symptoms of dyslexia include much more than reversing letters or words. Visit the 37 Characteristics of Dyslexia page to learn more about the varied symptoms associated with dyslexia.

The Davis Dyslexia Correction Program considers dyslexia to be a product of thought and a special way of reacting to confusion. This is why Davis methods are successful with many learning problems. For example: ADD/ADHD, auditory perception deficits, coordination problems, dysgraphia (handwriting problems), and dyscalculia (math problems) can be helped using Davis methods.

Using the Davis Dyslexia Correction tools is a chance at a new beginning!

Davis methods include basic literacy tools that can be used in school, business and throughout life. Davis clients learn to recognize and correct perceptual disorientations, focus attention, eliminate confusion with letter symbols and words, increase confidence, and ability with reading, writing, math, or coordination skills.

My son can read "balloon," but can't read "of" or "the."

I graduated from school, but no one knew how much I struggled just to get by. Memorization and regurgitation is not learning and that's what I did for twelve years.

I know my daughter is smart and talented, but she struggles with reading .

Why can't I remember what I read when I get to the bottom of the page?

I get a headache when I read.

My son's inability to read is starting to hurt his self-esteem.
