Lisa Thatcher is a licensed Davis Facilitator in Ohio, Minnesota, and Iceland, and is director of Ohio Dyslexia Correction Center.
The Center

Lisa taught Special Education in public schools for more than ten years. She has worked with a variety of learning disabilities ranging from grades 1-12, as well as post secondary and graduate university students. She graduated from Otterbein College and completed graduate coursework in Special Education at both the Ohio State University and Ashland University. Her experience as a teacher of Specific Learning Disabilities led her to the Davis Program.

Lisa is frequently invited to faciliate the Davis Program in Minnesota at New Hope Learning Centers. She also worked with several clients in Iceland in the summer of 2003.

The Ohio Dyslexia Correction Center is an educational center dedicated to serving adults and children with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. The service we provide is the Davis Dyslexia Correction Method® which is explained in the book, "The Gift of Dyslexia," by Ronald D. Davis.

 

Professional services described as Davis, Davis® Dyslexia Correction®, Davis Symbol Mastery®, Davis Orientation Counseling®, and Davis Learning strategies® may only be provided by persons who are trained and licensed through Davis Dyslexia Association International. The Ohio Dyslexia Correction Center (ODCC) is located in one of Mount Vernon's historic homes known as the Young House. The Young House was built in 1845. This home is listed on the National Registar of Historic Homes.

The ODCC is in a quiet, private location, occupying the lower level of the house. This intimate setting has a private workroom, office, and a public sitting and dining area for clients. Clients and parents are welcome to use the break area and sitting area throughout the week.
